First step is to set-up a COM port for your Bluetooth connection on your PC. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your control panel, click on COM ports tab then add a COM port. Select "incoming COM port - device initiates connection", click ok and take note of the number of the COM port selected.

Open Activesync and go to file: connection settings and check "allow connections to one of the following:" and set the COM port number to that you created on step 1.

Set-up partnership
on your PC. Go to the bluetooth settings on control panel or double click bluetooth icon on the bottom right of the toolbar. Go to devices tab and add device then follow the instructions. Make sure to accept the connection on your pda. Before finishing the partnership set-up, make sure that activesync is checked under "services to be used by this device".

Once your pda and pc have been paired, on your pda, go to activesync program, select menu, then connect via bluetooth. Wait for PC to detect connection and set-up a new partnership.

Notes:

If you have previously paired your pda and pc, unpair it so that you have better chance of connection.
